Direct Tapping Machine

The TM1000 tapping machine is used to drill and tap water mains while under pressure, then install ¾" or 1" corporation stops in a 2-step operation. It covers a range of 4" - 48" cast or ductile iron and C-900 PVC with the use of saddles and chain extensions. Anodized and epoxy-painted aluminum frames provide a lightwiehgt yet sturdy machine for tough inditch applications. The swing valve allows easy changeout from drill tap to corporation without main shutdown. Friction style boring bar lock allows faster start with minimal adjustment. Uses standard Reed DT series drill taps. Interchangeable parts with Reed tapping machines include Mueller®, Footage®, and Talbot/Salser® drill taps, and Mueller® saddles and gaskets.
